Oatmeal is a killer ingredient for detox and even weight loss smoothie. As it is loaded with soluble fibers, which expands and sit in your in your guts, it makes you feel full for a long time.

That’s why it makes perfect sense when you think “detox smoothie,” think “oatmeal smoothie.”

Oatmeal Smoothie with Banana and Almond Milk

You will need:

  • 2 tbsp. rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tbsp. hot or boiling water (enough to just cover the oats)
  • 1 frozen banana, chopped
  • 1 cup (240 ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 2/3 cup almond milk or 1 cup soya milk
  • 1 tbsp. almond butter
  • 1/3 cup light coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp. Chia seeds soaked in 4 tbsp. water

How to make it:

When bananas start going black, peel them, wrap in cling film and freeze them. After it’s done – cut it into chunks of a size appropriate for your favorite food processor.

Put the chia seeds in a bowl, add some water, covering the seeds, mix well and place it into the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Place the rolled oats in a bowl and add some hot water, let it soak for 15 minutes.

After all the ingredients ready place it (and all the rest) into a blender and mix at a higher speed for 1 minute. Serve immediately.

Oatmeal Smoothie with Berries

You will need:

  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries – anything will do)
  • ⅓ cup vanilla yogurt or Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • ¼ cup ice

How to make it:

Put everything into your favorite blender. Blend until smooth and creamy and drink immediately.

Oatmeal Smoothie with Cream and Peaches

You will need:

  • 1 cup frozen peach slices
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (I like unsweetened, but peach flavor is excellent here)
  • ¼ cup oatmeal
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup almond milk

How to make it:

Blend all ingredients in a blender on high speed until very smooth. And enjoy your drink.

Oatmeal Smoothie with Pineapple and Coconut Milk

You will need:

  • 1/4 cup uncooked oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons dried chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup low-fat yogurt (Greek is perfect!)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup frozen, fresh, or canned pineapple pieces
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey (but only if you feel like making it sweeter)

How to make it:

Combine oats and chia seeds in blender and process it on high speed until it will have a flour texture. Put milk into the mixture, stir it well with a spatula, add yogurt and pineapple. Blend until smooth. Taste and put some honey, if needed, then mix it again. Transfer to a container and put it in the fridge overnight. Thus oats and seeds will get soft.  You can keep this smoothie in refrigerator up to 2-3 days, but don’t forget to shake it well before drinking.

 Oatmeal Smoothie with Apricot

You will need:

  • 1/4 cup uncooked oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk* (plain or vanilla)
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons dried chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup low-fat yogurt (Greek works perfectly)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots (or 1 cup if you are using fresh, frozen, or canned)
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey, optional

How to make it:

Combine oats and chia seeds in blender and process it on high speed until it will have a flour texture. Put milk and orange juice into the mixture, stir it well with a spatula. Add yogurt and apricots and process on a high sped until smooth.  Taste and put some honey, if needed, then mix it again. Transfer to a container and put it in the fridge overnight. Thus oats and seeds will get soft.  You can keep this smoothie in refrigerator up to 2-3 days, but don’t forget to shake it well before drinking.
